This mineral is extremely hard to get a hold of due to most localities being at such high and steep elevations. Machinery cannot be used to unearth these minerals, thus causing each individual specimen to be hand-extracted. Only so many can be pulled from the ground at once, which then leads to the dangerous trek down to the base camp. Throughout this process some Quartz is damaged or even completely destroyed. Even more devastating is the loss of human life in regards to individuals who could not survive the harsh conditions on the tallest mountain peaks in the world.

Lemurian is said to originated in a country known as Mu or Lemuria. This civilization, according to the legends, was a peaceful and highly-developed spiritual civilization that existed hundreds of thousands of years ago in the area of the South Pacific, now buried deep beneath the sea.

The Lemurians are believed to have foreseen a cataclysmic event, and prepared the Lemurian Seed Crystal to preserve their knowledge and traditions. It is said that having seeded the crystals, most of the Lemurians left this planet for other star systems, perhaps as light beings or spirits, or perhaps even are existing in parallel to us in a higher-dimensional Earth.
